Frequently Asked Questions

RX3000

1. What applications would the RX3000 be most suited for?

The RX3000 is suited for use in any application requiring the removal of contaminants from the air. The most popular applications include usage in hospitals, schools, smoking establishments and construction sites.

2. What size room is the RX3000 most suited for?

Room size is dependent on application. Application determines the number of recommended air changes per hour. Below are a few examples. If your application is not listed below, please email us at sales@rxair.com and an engineer will help answer your question.

The Rx3000 has the capacity to deliver 39,000 cubic feet per hour of air filtered to an efficiency of 99.97% or greater for particles at 0.3 microns. This combination of filtration and air delivery rate allow the machine to efficiently provide clean air for the following:
– Home or office space of 1,200 square feet having a typical 8 foot ceiling height.
– Infectious area of 400 square feet having a typical 8 foot ceiling (12 air changes per hour). This is very high filtration.

3. How much sound does the RX3000 produce on high speed?

Technically 58db at 6 feet, which is relative to human conversations or a small window air conditioning unit.

4. Does the RX3000 have special power requirements?

No. The RX3000 uses any standard 120V grounded AC power outlet.

5. Is the RX3000 portable?

Yes. The RX3000 has large, dual locking casters for easy portability.

6. Does the RX3000 require installation?

No. The RX3000 is ready to go out of the box upon delivery.

7. How often do I need to change my filters?

The RX3000 has two filters; an external pre-filter (SPF3000) that is on the base of the unit and an internal HEPA filter (SF3000C or SF3000H). For standard applications we recommend changing the pre-filter about once a month and the internal HEPA filter every year. If your application has a significant amount of contaminants then it is recommended to change both filters more frequently.

The RX3000 has an indicator lamp on the instrument panel that will flash when your HEPA filter should be replaced.

8. How often do I need to change my UV bulbs?

It is recommended to replace your UV bulb every 12 months. An indicator lamp will flash when your UV bulb has failed and needs to be replaced.

9. Does the RX3000 unit remove odors?
