RxAir RX3000 includes patented 5-stage HEPA filtration combined with powerful germicidal UV-C lights technologies.
1st stage – External Pre-Filter: Mounted on the outside of the unit this filter can be changed quickly and often to prolong the life of the internal cartridge. These filters are very inexpensive and can be discarded safely.
2nd stage – Germistatic Filter: This filter does double duty as it traps the larger particles down to 40 microns and its Germistatic treatment will prevent organisms from growing on the unit and keep them contained in the filter. This size particle can be seen by the human eye and consists of such things as dust particles. Pollen, human/pet hair, etc.
3rd Stage – Electrostatic Filter: When air moves through an electrostatic filter, because of the way the material is constructed it causes an electrical charge which attracts and traps particles down to 10 microns in size. This size is invisible to the eye and includes most fungi, insecticides and lung damaging dust.
4th Stage – HEPA Filter: HEPA filter is certified to remove at least 99.97% of particles 0.3 microns and larger in diameter from the air. This is the standard for quality air filtration and the base for the RxAir Filter. Each RxAir HEPA filter is independently tested, certified and labeled by a nationally recognized testing laboratory as to its efficiency. In addition to collecting any particles missed by the pre-filters, it will trap some fumes and vapors.
5th Stage – RxSORB Charcoal Absorber: The last stage is vapor and odor absorbent material for oxidizable contaminates such as carbon dioxide, alcohols, hydrocarbons, and many more.
